Hearing Tests

Hearing Testing and Evaluations

Choosing the right hearing aid starts with a clear understanding of your unique hearing loss needs. Our advanced testing procedures accurately identify whether or not you have hearing loss and measure the type and severity.

The most important facet of hearing health is fast and accurate diagnosis of problems. Whether a person has lost hearing abruptly or gradually over time, he or she needs a comprehensive solution based on the latest science and medicine. Diagnostic audiologic evaluation includes hearing tests and other physical tests, and various questions about hearing environments and capabilities. It is often done after a standard hearing test suggests other problems to be checked. Tests include checking the middle and inner ear, the throat and auditory nerve in each ear.

Hearing Aid Services

We Service Your Devices

From hearing aid screening, selection and fittings, to ongoing maintenance and repairs – we offer a wide range of services to keep your hearing aids performing their best.

Hearing aids perform their best when calibrated to your ear anatomy. Real Ear Measurement (REM) is a process that uses a tiny microphone to measure how sound travels inside your ear canal, allowing your provider to customize your hearing aids for the best sound experience.

Once a diagnosis of a hearing problem has been finalized, a hearing device is chosen. The audiologist will fit the hearing aid. Fitting is far more than the positioning of the device in your ear. It incudes testing and adjusting, probably several times, before the right settings are found. Because the hearing aid is a miniature computer it not only amplifies sound but (in many cases) it connects with wireless devices and self-adjusts to sound environments. All these settings and possibilities, including programming the hearing aid using a computer, are discussed with you at the fitting.
